SPRAY FOAM INSULATION

PERFORMANCE
STARTS WITHIN.

Open-cell and closed-cell spray foam for homes, shops, metal buildings, and commercial spaces. Defined around the building. Coordinated around the project.

THINK THROUGH THE WHOLE ASSEMBLY

THE RIGHT SYSTEM.
IN THE RIGHT PLACE.

A conditioned home and a metal workshop don’t start with the same requirements.

We discuss the building’s intended use, wall and roof assembly, and project specifications before defining the insulation scope. Foam type, coverage, thickness, access, and preparation belong in that conversation.

The result is a clearer proposal and a coordinated approach to installation.

TWO SYSTEMS / PROJECT-SPECIFIC SELECTION

OPEN CELL.
CLOSED CELL.

Both are available through Vortex. Selection depends on the assembly and specified performance—not simply the building’s square footage.

01 / OPEN-CELL SPRAY FOAM

LIGHTER DENSITY.
ASSEMBLY-LED DESIGN.

Open-cell foam is a lower-density insulation option. We quote it where the wall or roof design calls for an open-cell system.

  • New construction and additions
  • Wall and roof cavity applications
  • Coverage and thickness set by the scope
Discuss open-cell foam
02 / CLOSED-CELL SPRAY FOAM

DENSER STRUCTURE.
DEFINED PERFORMANCE.

Closed-cell foam generally provides greater thermal resistance per inch. Moisture behavior and installation details still depend on the product and assembly.

  • Metal buildings and workshops
  • Commercial and residential assemblies
  • Product and thickness requirements reviewed
Discuss closed-cell foam

System characteristics vary by product. See the U.S. Department of Energy’s spray foam guide ↗ for general background.

WHAT WE REVIEW

A CLEAR INSULATION
SCOPE STARTS HERE.

01

Building & use

Home, shop, barndominium, or commercial space. Tell us how it will be used and whether it will be conditioned.

02

Areas & dimensions

Length, width, wall height, roof pitch, openings, and the wall or roof surfaces included.

03

System & specification

Foam type, required thickness or performance, substrates, and details provided by the design team.

04

Preparation & access

Adjacent work, surface preparation, protection, ventilation, and occupancy arrangements.

CLEAR ANSWERS

LET’S GET
THE DETAILS RIGHT.

Have a project-specific question?
Call 469-502-1758.

Can you quote concrete and insulation together?

Yes. We can discuss both trades for a home, shop, metal building, or commercial project and identify each scope separately.

What do you need to price a metal building?

Send length, width, wall height, roof pitch if known, opening dimensions, photos, and the areas to be insulated. Add any specified foam type and thickness.

Can spray foam help with comfort?

Insulation and air sealing can support a more consistent indoor environment when properly designed and installed. Results depend on the entire building, its mechanical systems, and use.

Do I need to choose a system first?

No. Start with the building and your goals. We can discuss the scope and coordinate with the specifications. Product and assembly requirements guide final selection.
